Scouts, Guides and N.C.C:

There is one Scout & Guide, Cubs and Bulbul unit is running under the guidance of Scout Master and Guide Teacher. Students are registered with KVS Bharat Scouts and Guides. Regular pre-planned activities are organized and conducted in the Vidyalaya by the same. Scout day is celebrated on 1st December and the Birth day of Lord Lady Bedam Povoell is celebrated on 22nd February. Tests are conducted as per schedule for Pratham and Diwitiya Sopan in the month of November and weekly activities like prayer, flag song , promise etc conducted on every Wednesday.

Annual Sports Day 2008:
Is to be organised between Last week of Jan. 2008 and 2nd Week of Feb. 2008.

ONGC Quiz Competition

A quiz competition was organised at Dr. B.R.Ambedkar Club, ONGC Complex in the Month of 18th January 2007 to celebrate SAVE OIL AND GAS fortnight. K.V.ONGC team stood Second whereas KVRRL(NEIST) was third. The competition was own by the ARMY SCHOOL JORHAT.

Olympiads:
MS. VAISHALI of Class XI got the RANK within 600 in Science Olympiad in the year 2007. Though the participants were more than 50.

Study Camp:
Study camp was organized in the Vidyalaya in the winter break w.e.f. 23.12.2007 to 01.02.2008 for class X and XII students.

Annual Inspection 2007:
The Annual Academic Panel Inspection was held in the Vidyalaya on the 12 December 07. The Inspection team was headed by Honourable Education Officer , KVS Guwahati Region, Shri S.K.Verma accompanied by Sri Jagdish Prasad, Principal,KV-AFS Jorhat, Sri Anil Kumar, Principal, KV- RRL(NEIST), Sri B.Lal, Principal KV- Golaghat.

AIDS Day:
On 1 st December AIDS Day was celebrated. Dr.K.R.Rabha, Deputy Chief Medical officer of ONGC,Jorhat delivered lecture on AIDS.

Teachers Day celebration:
Teachers Day was celebrated in the school on 05/09/2007. Various cultural programmes were organized. Games both for male and female teachers were conducted and later on prizes were distributed.

Independence Day Celebration:
The Vidyalaya celebrated 60th Independence Day on 15th of August' 07. The National Flag was hoisted and various colorful programmes were organized which ended with distribution of sweets.

Annual Day Celebration:
Annual day was celebrated on 04.05.07.A colourful program was presented. Prizes were distributed to the children for their excellence in both curricular & co-curricular activities. All the dignitaries of ONGC including the Chief Guest Mr. Jagtar Singh Saikhon , Basin Manager, A& AA Basin Jorhat highly appreciated the performance of the children and the Chief guest Mrs. (Dr.) Alka Mittal announced Rs.10,000.00 cash award for the children.

Commencement of New Session:
The new session 2007-08 commenced w.e.f. 1st APRIL 2007 and will end on 31st March 2008.In the new session we are determined to perform better and excel in all spheres for the all round development of the students.
